Welcome to our story

Hey! Im Jesse Hogge. I have been around bird dogs since the day I hit the ground. My Dad (David Hogge for those in the area) owned and operated Country Air Kennels. My earliest memory is in front of that ole shed. From the time I could walk I was involved. “Helping” training, feeding, watering and other chores was my everyday! It was an incredible way to start a life!

I was heavily involved in all of it through my teens but life led me in another direction through my 20s. I never stopped bird hunting but didn’t have a bird dog of my own for most of that decade. About 3 years ago I mentioned to Dad that I was planning on getting a dog again. Due to my wide range of hunting interests he suggested I consider German Wirehaired Pointers. Known for prowess in the uplands, marshes and everywhere in between it seemed like a good fit.

I got Buck when he was 8 weeks old, He has been a great companion since. I added Penny to the pack in september of last year. They are phenonminal hunters and companions. If you are looking for a new hunting and family dog I strongly suggest you consider adding one of these pups to your pack!
